Terms of Service — Tietmo

Effective date: 2 September 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Tietmo (the “Service Provider”, “we”, “us”), who provides the Tietmo mobile application (the “Application”). By creating an account or using the Application, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Application.

These Terms work together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Application. By using it you confirm that you meet this age requirement. We enforce this at sign-up by requiring a date of birth, and we may suspend accounts we reasonably believe do not meet it. Some events may set their own higher age limits, which the host is responsible for.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity that happens under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Notify us at tietmoapp@gmail.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission. You may have only one account unless we agree otherwise, and you may not use the Application if we have previously removed you.

3. Acceptable use and zero-tolerance policy

Tietmo is a community. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. When using the Application you agree that you will not:

These rules apply to everything you create in the Application — including events and hangouts, group content, chat messages, photos, polls, profile details, and any other user-generated content.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you create and upload (“Your Content”). By posting Your Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, and display it solely to operate and provide the Application — for example, showing your event to invited guests or your photo in a group album. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where the content forms part of a shared space or record as described in our Privacy Policy, and except for copies we must retain to comply with the law.

You are responsible for Your Content and confirm you have the rights needed to post it. We do not endorse and are not responsible for content posted by users, and we are not obliged to store or back up Your Content.

5. Reporting, blocking, and moderation

You can report content or users, and block other users, from within the Application. We review reports of objectionable content and abusive users and aim to act within 24 hours — removing content and/or removing the user responsible where appropriate.

We may remove any content, and suspend or terminate any account, that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms or harms other users or the Application, with or without notice. Moderation decisions are made at our discretion, and we may keep limited records of reports and actions for safety and legal purposes.

6. Events, hangouts, and meeting other people

Tietmo helps people organise and discover events and hangouts, some of which take place in person. You are solely responsible for your own safety and conduct when meeting other people or attending events. We do not verify the identity of users, do not vet or endorse events, hosts, or attendees, and are not a party to and not responsible for what happens at any event or interaction arranged through the Application. Use good judgement and take normal precautions when meeting people you do not know.

7. Shared expenses and payments

The Application lets you record shared expenses and display payment-method handles (for example, MobilePay) so people can settle up with each other. Tietmo does not process, hold, or transfer any money and is not a payment service. Expense records are a convenience for tracking who owes what; any actual payment happens directly between users through their own means. We are not responsible for the accuracy of expense records or for any dispute, non-payment, or loss arising from them.

8. Third-party services

The Application relies on third-party services (for example, app stores, push notification services, and map providers) and may link to third-party content. We are not responsible for those services or content, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms. See our Privacy Policy for the providers that process data on our behalf.

8a. Additional terms for Apple App Store users

If you downloaded the Application from the Apple App Store, the following also applies, and prevails over any conflicting term above to the extent required by Apple:

For any questions or complaints about the Application, contact the Service Provider at tietmoapp@gmail.com.

9. Intellectual property

The Application itself — including its software, design, branding, and the “Tietmo” name and logo — belongs to the Service Provider and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Application for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the Application except as permitted by law.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Application and delete your account at any time (Profile → Settings → Delete account, or see tietmo.com/delete-account). We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Application. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including content licences we must retain, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — continue to apply after your account ends.

11. Disclaimers

The Application is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Application will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that it will meet your requirements. Some features depend on your device, your internet connection, and third-party services outside our control. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory Danish or EU law.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service Provider will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Application, from other users’ content or conduct, or from events or interactions arranged through the Application. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date and, where appropriate, notify you through the Application.

If a change is material, we will ask you to accept the new version in the app before you can carry on using it — we do not treat carrying on using the Application as agreement to a material change. Every version we publish keeps its own permanent address, so the version you accepted stays available to you.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Danish courts, unless mandatory law provides otherwise. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.

15. Contact

For any questions about these Terms, contact the Service Provider at tietmoapp@gmail.com.
